In this tutorial we will go over how to accept applicants. You can hire Spotters once you have posted a shift to your schedule. To learn how to post a shift, see our tutorial here.
To check who has applied, navigate to the "Shifts" tab from the menu and click on the posting. This will open the shift information form. which is divided into two sections, Shift planner and Shift summary.
The shift information form is divided into two sections, Shift planner and Shift Summary. Shift Planner displays the list of applicants, while Shift Summary shows the details of your posted shift. In the Shift Planner tab, you can see all the applicants who have applied for your shift, indicated with an “Applicant” tag. Additionally, anyone who has worked for you previously will be shown with a “Spotterpool” tag.
Click "Select" on the Spotter or Spotters that you want and then click “Send Offers”. The Spotter's status will update to show "Offered" and they will be notified through their Spotwork app.
Once a Spotter accepts your offer, their status will update to say “Hired”, and the number of Spotters hired will be shown at the top of the form in the progress bar.
If you wish to withdraw the offer, simply hover over the "Offered" text and the option to withdraw will appear. Click on it and update your offer. This can also be done for hired Spotters as long as the shift has not yet started. Note that there will be a charge for 3 hours of the shift if it is cancelled within 12 hours before it starts.
Next, we will go over sending offers to Spotters for multiple days. Following the same steps as before, click on any of the days the shift takes place, and navigate to “Switch to Schedule View” to see multiple days at a time. You can select multiple days or all days before sending out the offers to the Spotter/s. Once you have chosen the days you want to offer the Spotter, click on "Update Offers".
Removing offers and hires for multiple days follows the same method as removing for single days, click on any shift and navigate to "Switch to Schedule View" on the shift information form, then select the days you would like to remove. Once you have completed your selection, click on "Update Offers" and the Spotter will be notified that their offers or shifts have been cancelled.
